Lake Elmenteita Serena Camp stands on the flamingo-fringed shores of Lake Elmentaita, north of the famous Serengeti national park, in one of the most beautiful rift valley lakes in Africa. The ultra-luxury camp offers 24 fixed tents and one Flamingo Suite, each with its own private verandah overlooking the lake.

A natural haven for wildlife including the Great White Pelican, endangered Rothschild Giraffes and leopards, the camp offers guests an ideal opportunity to sample Africa at its wildest, without sacrificing on the luxury of a high-class hotel.

Each tent is furnished with tasteful hardwood and leather furniture and features four poster beds and solar heated showers. Guests can also enjoy modern touches including WiFi connectivity, telephones and minibars.

The resort has superb al-fresco dining facilities that offer a wide variety of international dishes and a bar that provides long views of the Lake, the perfect position to watch an African sunset, framed by ancient golden Acacia trees and timeless volcanoes.

Lake Elmenteita Serena Camp (or the Camp) offers guests plenty of opportunities to explore the beauty of the region, through game drives to watch zebra, gazelle, buffalo or baboons congregating at the lake’s edge, or safaris to track rhinos and lions in the nearby Lake Nakuru National Park.

If wildlife spotting is not your passion, you can always take to the skies in a hot air balloon to watch the sun rise over Mount Kenya or explore the origins of man at the Kariandusi prehistoric site.

Despite its secluded position, the Camp is just a two hour drive from Nairobi.
